The present invention relates to a system for reducing power consumption of an electric vehicle charging device which detects power consumption of an electric vehicle charging device in real time, cuts off standby power generated when the charging device is not used, is provided with a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor, detects temperature and humidity information of the charging device, and provides fire or abnormality occurrence in the charging device to a manager, more specifically, the system comprising: a charging device for charging a battery of an electric vehicle; a standby power control device which detects real-time power consumption and abnormality or normality of power supplied to the charging device, generates a control signal according to the detected power consumption and abnormality or normality, and selectively controls the charging device through the control signal or an external command signal; and an operating server which is connected to the standby power control device through a wired and wireless communication network, and monitors, when data is transmitted to and received from the standby power control device, the charging device on the basis of information transmitted from the standby power control device. |
