The present invention relates to a method to operate an electric arc furnace wherein power transmission time and an entire operational time can be reduced; thereby reducing a power unit by charging a heating agent to raise a temperature of molten steel by reacting with the molten steel during operation of the electric arc furnace for melting the scraps. The present invention comprises: (S1) a step of manufacturing molten steel by charging and melting a heating agent composed of aluminum coating scraps together with scraps; (S2) a step of raising the temperature of the manufactured molten steel; and (S3) a step of tapping the molten steel having the temperature thereof raised.
