An apparatus and a method for monitoring a game for analyzing the secession of users in an online game are disclosed. The method for monitoring a game comprises the steps of: generating multiple check points; transplanting the check points to positions of game source codes corresponding thereto; acquiring monitoring information at a check point, at which a pass condition of the check points is satisfied; and monitoring methods of play by game users using the monitoring information for each of the check points.
