The present invention relates to a chemical pretreatment method for lignocellulose using a Fenton compound as a catalyst. It is possible to effectively break down cellulose in rice straw by using the Fenton compound at room temperature, thereby increasing yield of glucose in an enzymatic saccharification process and remarkably reducing costs for the whole process.
