PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method capable of reducing a gap and air bubbles between solid components constituting contaminated soil, and suppressing the elution of heavy metal after back-filling.SOLUTION: A contaminated soil containment method includes: a first curing step for curing excavated contaminated soil; a mixing step for mixing the cured contaminated soil with clay and cement; a kneading step for adding water to the mixture and kneading it; a vacuum extrusion step for subjecting the kneaded material to extrusion molding while deaerating it by vacuum suction so as to form a block body; a second curing step for curing the block body; and a step including a back-filling step for re-burying the cured block body.
