In order to provide a mobile X-ray imaging apparatus that poses minimal risk of cables coming into contact with a body under examination during the positioning operation for imaging, the apparatus has a dolly, and an X-ray imaging unit carried on the dolly. The X-ray imaging unit is provided with an X-ray generator, an arm supporting the X-ray generator at one end, a support post supporting the other end of the arm in vertically movable fashion, and a main unit for supplying power to the X-ray generator, at least for the purpose of X-ray generation. A plurality of conductor lines are arranged spaced apart on the post in the axial direction, and a plurality of conductor brushes that respectively contact the lines are arranged at the other end of the arm. In association with vertical movement of the arm, the brushes travel vertically along the lines while maintaining contact with the lines, and the main unit supplies power to the X-ray generator through the lines and the brushes. |
