摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to properly switch an EV traveling mode, series HEV traveling mode, and parallel HEV traveling mode according to a driver's intention of making much account of power performance, fuel economy, or the like.SOLUTION: If a driver wants to drive while making much account of power performance, a domain within which a series HEV traveling mode is selected is made narrower than it is in a normal driving mode because a limit of the domain is changed from an SP1 switching line for normal driving to an SP2 switching line. Accordingly, a transition is swiftly made from an EV driving mode to a parallel HEV driving mode, and drivability improves. If the driver wants to drive while making much account of fuel economy, the domain within which the series HEV driving mode is selected is made wider than it is in the normal driving mode because the limit of the domain is changed from the SP1 switching line for normal driving to an SP3 switching line. Accordingly, a time or the number of occasions during or on which the driver drives in the series HEV driving mode increases. Therefore, an engine 12 can be actuated at an optimal running point while being unsusceptible to a vehicle speed V, and fuel economy improves.
