PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared microscope capable of simply and reliably determining a place at which a foreign substance unable to be visually checked in a sample is present and leading to subsequent identification processing.SOLUTION: A monitor measurement button 210 is pressed down to start a monitor measurement. When a monitor measurement region 213 is moved by pressing down a stage movement button 214, a characteristic value (e.g. an intensity value at a predetermined wave number) that is calculated from an infrared absorption spectrum in the monitor measurement region 213 is displayed as a locus T on a screen. Thereby, a place at which a foreign substance i is present is easy to determine. |
