PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blind rivet which can obtain a sufficient sealing property and high water-tightness by a blind rivet single body.SOLUTION: A blind rivet (1) for being fastened to a base body having an opening portion includes: a rivet body (10) which has a large-diameter flange (16), a tapered portion (15) adjacent to the flange, and a sleeve extending from the tapered portion in an axial direction, being formed with a bottomed hole (18) on a bottom portion of the sleeve from a surface of the flange; and a mandrel (30) which has a head portion (31), and a slender shaft portion having an outer diameter smaller than the head portion and extending from the head portion. The head portion of the mandrel is disposed on a bottom portion of the bottomed hole of the rivet body, and the shaft portion is assembled so as to project out from an upper surface of the flange of the rivet body. On the sleeve of the rivet body, a wall-thickness portion (13) is formed. The head portion is held by the wall-thickness portion so as not to come off from the bottomed hole of the rivet body. By drawing out the mandrel and expanding a diameter of the sleeve, the base body is sealed between a diameter-expanding portion and the flange. |
