PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission system that makes it possible to make all files be received in transmission using an MMT method whenever data reception is started.SOLUTION: A data transmission system comprises: a data transmitter that acquires files composing a content and repeatedly transmits an MMTP packet in which a file is stored; a control message generator that transmits an MMTP packet in which a table for storing a path name of each of the files composing the content is stored; and a multiplexer that multiplexes the MMTP packet transmitted by the data transmitter and the MMTP packet transmitted by the control message generator. A packet ID of the MMTP packet in which the file is stored is different from a packet ID of the MMTP packet in which the table is stored.
