<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which allows a virtual printer on an information processing device to be moved to another information processing device, even while the virtual printer is executing a process, and allows the virtual printer, after being moved, to continue with the process that was being executed before the move.SOLUTION: When moving a physical printer 114a on a server 100A to a server 100B, a configuration management device 104 instructs the server 100A to stop the physical printer 114a and sends an instruction to start up the physical printer 114a to the server 100B. The server 100A, upon receipt of the stop instruction, stores a mid-processing result of a job of the physical printer 114a in a data storage device 102. The server 100B responds to the start-up instruction by acquiring definition information of the physical printer 114a from the data storage device 102 and starting up the physical printer 114a in accordance with the definition information. The physical printer 114a, after being started up, acquires the mid-processing result of the job, that was being done before being moved, stored by the data storage device 102 and continues with processing of the job using the mid-processing result.</p> |
