An electric motor (1) comprises: a stator (2) having a plurality of stator poles (3), with each of which stator pole windings are associated and each of which includes a pole shoe (4) that has a tooth structure comprising at least two teeth (5); at least one excitation winding (6) that is mechanically coupled to the stator (2); and a rotor (7) that includes: at least two magnet wheels (8, 9), each of which has a tooth structure; and at least one connecting shaft (10) which has a longitudinal axis and which mechanically and magnetically couples the magnet wheels (8, 9) to one another, the at least one excitation winding (6) being arranged (inside the stator) in such a way as to generate a radially symmetrical magnetic exciting field in the connecting shaft (10) of the rotor (7). Said magnetic exciting field is oriented relative to the longitudinal axis and, outside the connecting shaft (10), extends from the magnet wheels (8, 9) to the stator poles (3). |
