The invention relates to the transmission of frames over a CAN bus to which a plurality of nodes are connected, each frame capable of being transmitted by any of the nodes of said plurality of nodes comprising a first identifier defining access priority to the CAN bus. According to the invention, in each of the nodes of said plurality of nodes: A validity deadline is associated with each frame capable of being transmitted from said node, up until which said frame can be validly transmitted; while the frame has not been transmitted over the CAN bus, said validity deadline is monitored; and upon detecting (100) the proximity of the validity deadline, the access to the bus is pre-empted (110) in order to transmit (120) said frame by the node. |
