A device (1) for damping torsional oscillations, comprising: - a support (2) that is able to be moved in rotation about an axis (X), - at least one first (3) and one second (4) pendular mass that are axially spaced apart from one another and are able to move with respect to the support (2), the first pendular mass (3) being disposed on a first side (10) of the support (2) and the second pendular mass (4) being disposed on a second side (11) of the support (2), - and two connecting members (5) for connecting the first (3) and the second (4) pendular mass such that said masses are matched, the connecting members (5) being angularly spaced apart from one another, each connecting member (5) being partially held in an opening (25) formed in the holder (2), and each connecting member (5) extending angularly in the anticlockwise direction from a first end (5.1) to a second end (5.2) of said connecting member (5), each connecting member (5) being associated with a stop member (40) for the movement of the pendular masses (3, 4) with respect to the support (2), the stop member (40) associated with one of the connecting members (5) being closer to the first end (5.1) thereof than to the second end (5.2) thereof, while the stop member (40) associated with the other connecting member (5) is closer to the second end (5.2) thereof than to the first end (5.1) thereof. |
