PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-free piezoelectric material having a satisfactory piezoelectric constant and mechanical quality factor in the range of device operating temperature range (-30°C to 50°C).SOLUTION: There is provided the piezoelectric material which contains a metal oxide represented by the following general formula (1) and contains MnBi or Bi and Li, Si or B, Cu, and has the content of Mn in terms of metal of 0.040 pts.wt. to 0.500 pts.wt., the content of Bi in terms of metal of 0.042 pts.wt. to 0.850 pts.wt., the content of Li in terms of metal of 0.028 pts.wt. or less (including 0 pts.wt.), the content of the third sub-constituent in terms of metal of 0.001 pts.wt to 4.000 pts.wt. and the content of Cu in terms of metal of 0.001 pts.wt. to 4.000 pts.wt, based on 100 pts,wt. of the metal oxide. General formula (1) (BaCa)(TiZr)O, where 0.03≤x<0.09, 0.03≤y≤0.08 and 0.986≤a≤1.020. |
