The present invention is to provide a carbonaceous material for lithium-air battery cathodes, which shows higher capacity than conventional carbonaceous materials. Disclosed are a carbonaceous material for lithium-air battery cathodes, wherein the carbonaceous material is a carbonaceous material for constituting the cathode of a lithium-air battery; wherein the carbonaceous material comprises nitrogen and a molar ratio of the nitrogen to the carbon is 1.9×10−2 or more; and wherein the carbonaceous material is a glassy material, and a lithium-air battery comprising a cathode, wherein the cathode comprises the carbonaceous material. |
