1. A window having an exterior facing surface and an interior facing surface, the window comprising:
a window frame; an active sash; a first chamber partially defined by a first water barrier formed of one or more air permeable and water resistant materials and by a second water barrier formed of one or more air and water resistant materials, the first water barrier forming part of the exterior facing surface of the window, and the first chamber being configured to maintain an air pressure that substantially corresponds to an air pressure external to a building when the window is coupled to the building; and a second chamber partially defined by the second water barrier, the second chamber being configured to maintain an air pressure that substantially corresponds to an air pressure internal to the building when the window is coupled to the building.
