PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel message exchange protocol.SOLUTION: A method of transmitting data includes: generating, with a wireless device 10, an application data message for an application; evaluating criteria, such as data size, for determining whether to send the application data message via a data radio bearer (DRB) channel 6 or via a signaling radio bearer (SRB) channel 4 that communicatively couples the wireless device to a network resource; and, based on determining that the application data message should be sent via the SRB channel, sending the application data message to the network resource via the SRB channel. |
