PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide titanium dioxide in which prior disadvantages are solved, the titanium dioxide being used in cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations, especially in dermatological preparations for protecting human skin against the harmful effects of UV radiation.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to coated titanium dioxide particles, wherein at least one coating layer comprises an ester made from a mixture of fatty alcohol and C6 to C12 aliphatic acids as coating material. The coating material is a C16-C18 nonanoate derivative or a mixture thereof. |
