PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing method that can perform accurate parallax calculation for image regions in which textures are low.SOLUTION: This invention provides an information processing method that is performed by an information processing system having a plurality of imaging devices 1F1, 1F2. The imaging device has imaging means that captures an image of at least polarization component to output the captured image. The information processing system performs a generation procedure to generate a polarization image based on the polarization component from the captured image, and a calculation procedure to perform dense parallax calculation with respect to at least the polarization image.
