PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing apparatus and a method for drawing with the drawing apparatus capable of performing inside the apparatus the pressure operation for recovering the ink storage quantity at the pen point during drawing with a direct liquid type writing tool (pen) equipped with a valve mechanism.SOLUTION: A nail printing apparatus 1 comprises: a valve mechanism 410 for making an ink accommodation part 411c and an ink storage part 411d communicate with each other in an open state and the ink accommodation part 411c and the ink storage part 411d not communicate with each other in a closed state; a drawing heat 43 for holding a pen 41, the pen 41 comprising a pen point 412 which places the valve mechanism 410 in the open state in an immersed state where one end side protrudes from the tip end side of a shank 411 and immerses into the shank 411, and an energizing member 415 which energizes the pen point 412 such that an end part of the pen point 412 is placed in a protruded state where the end part of the pen point 412 protrudes from the tip end side of the shank 411; and a pen point pressing mechanism 7 for pressing the pen point into the shank 411 and places the pen point 412 in the immersed state to make the valve mechanism 410 in the open state. |
