Provided is an oil pressure control device for a work machine with which adequate operability intended by an operator operating a hydraulic actuator can be achieved. The present invention is provided with a controller (20) that has: an elongation-side aperture area calculator (25A) and a contraction-side aperture area calculator (25B) that calculate the aperture areas (AR, AL) on the meter-out side of a direction control valve (16C); an arm velocity calculator (26) that computes a target arm velocity (VA) in accordance with operation input from a left operation lever (15A); and a correction unit that corrects the aperture areas (AR, AL) calculated by the elongation-side aperture area calculator (25A) and the contraction-side aperture area calculator (25B), on the basis of the target arm velocity (VA) calculated by this arm velocity calculator (26) and the velocity detected by an arm velocity sensor (18C). Hydraulic oil is made to flow from the direction control valve (16C) at a flow rate corresponding to the aperture areas (Ar, Al) corrected by the correction unit. |
