The present invention provides a method and a device for encoding a motion merging candidate using depth information. A method for encoding a motion merging candidate using depth information, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: determining a first condition with respect to whether or not a current block and an adjacent block that is spatially adjacent to the current block exist in the same object area, in which depth information is used for determining; determining a second condition with respect to whether or not a motion merging candidate of the current block and a motion merging candidate of the adjacent block are the same; and, if the first condition and the second condition are satisfied, instead of encoding the motion merging candidate of the current block, encoding flag information which indicates that the motion merging candidate of the current block and the motion merging candidate of the adjacent block are the same.
