According to an embodiment of the present invention, disclosed are an mode converting apparatus and a controlling method thereof, the mode controlling apparatus including: a state information obtaining unit which obtains state information of a smart watch by using an accelerometer; a wearing information obtaining unit which obtains wearing information with respect to whether the smart watch is worn from a wearing sensor capable of checking whether the smart watch is worn; and a mode converting unit which converts operation modes of the smart watch by using the state information and the wearing information. |
