A hand welding extruder (10) for welding plastic materials comprises an extruder unit (40), an air blower unit (20) for blowing hot air towards a material outlet, a motor unit (52) driving an extruder screw, and a material inlet channel (50) for feeding plastic material to the extruder unit (40). The extruder unit (40) comprises a longitudinally extending extruder casing (46) encompassing a processing chamber, the central extruder screw for transporting plastic material from the material inlet channel (50) towards the material outlet at a distal end (10a) of the hand welding extruder (10), and a heating element (48) for heating the plastic material within the processing chamber. The air blower unit (20) comprises a longitudinally extending air blower casing (24) at least partially encompassing the extruder casing (46) and a fan (28). The motor unit (52) is further configured for driving the fan (28) of the air blower unit (20). |
