PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the support rigidity of a stator.SOLUTION: An axial gap type rotary electric machine 1A includes: a rotor 2 including a rotary shaft 10 and rotor bodies 12A, 12B which rotate with the rotary shaft 10; a stator 4 which is disposed facing the rotor bodies 12A, 12B in an axial direction of the rotary shaft 10; and a cylindrical housing 7 housing the rotor 2 and the stator 4. The stator 4 includes: a plurality of stator cores 22 arranged in a circumferential direction; coils 23 respectively attached to the stator cores 22; and a pair of support members 26 which are fixed to the cylindrical housing 7 and support the respective stator cores 22 from both sides in the axial direction. |
