摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual image observation optical system that enables observation of high-quality virtual images.SOLUTION: A virtual image observation optical system includes a light guide prism 5 having an incident surface 5a that receives incident image light, a reflective surface 5b that reflects the image light entering from the incident surface 5a, and an exit surface 5c that outputs the image light reflected by the reflective surface 5b. The light guide prism 5 has a boundary slope surface(s) 9a, 9b formed along at least one of the boundaries between the reflective surface 5b and prism side faces 8a-8d abutting the reflective surface 5b. The angle(s) between the reflective surface 5b and the boundary slope surface(s) 9a, 9b is (are) less than 180 degrees on the outside of the light guide prism 5.</p>
