Disclosed are a service tunnel establishment method and device. The method disclosed in the present invention comprises: when a virtual private network (VPN) service needs to be provided between a first edge device in a first area and a second edge device in a second area across at least one intermediate area, a target edge device that has received a label route corresponding to the VPN service acquires a tunnel request identifier corresponding to the VPN service from the label route; and the target edge device performs matching between the acquired tunnel request identifier and established tunnels in an area to which the target edge device belongs, and if a matching result between the tunnel request identifier and any of the established tunnels meets a preset condition, selects the tunnel to carry the VPN service. By using the scheme provided in the embodiments of the present invention, different services can be carried by using different tunnels or the same tunnel in different domains, thereby ensuring that the services can be carried on correct tunnels after the services enter the corresponding domains.
