Furfural-resistant strains comprising a furfural-resistant gene can grow in a culture medium containing furfural. Therefore, the present invention can solve the problem in which the fermentation of microorganisms is difficult due to toxic byproducts such as furfural included in saccharification solution, etc. originated from lignum-based biomass which is a non-edible biomass. In addition, according to the method for manufacturing the strains, it is possible to select resistant genes with a comparatively less number of target genes, thereby reducing costs and time to develop resistant strains. In addition, the method for discovering genes may be widely used in methods to discover various functional genes which are not discovered other than for the furfural-resistant gene.
