A method for reducing a brake squeal caused by a wheel brake of a vehicle comprising measuring at least one vibration signal indicative of a vibration of the brake, monitoring said at least one vibration signal to detect at least one squeal condition indicative of the brake squeal, and triggering at least one corrective action for reducing the brake squeal in response to the detection of said at least one brake condition.
