<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling a device to be operated in a vehicle, configured to operate the target device without losing hold of a grip part or displacing a hand. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor data generation part 22 generates sensor data on the basis of a contact detection signal obtained from a touch sensor 21 mounted in a predetermined range of a grip part in a steering wheel gripped by a driver. A detection part 10a detects an input operation on the touch sensor 21 as to whether the driver is grasping the grip part, on the basis of the sensor data. The control part 10 does not receive a predetermined operation when the area of a portion of a hand in contact with the touch sensor 21 is equal to first area, and receives the predetermined input operation when the area becomes equal to second area smaller then the first area.
