<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force distribution device capable of correctly determining a temperature sensor failure (high temperature failure and earthing failure) and improving the stability of vehicle travel in switching from control for distributing driving forces to main driving wheels and auxiliary driving wheels to control for distributing the driving forces to the main driving wheels only. <P>SOLUTION: In a state that an output voltage of a temperature sensor has lowered, when a temperature sensor high temperature failure and a temperature sensor earthing failure occur simultaneously, a CPU performs temperature estimation calculation and determines that the failure is the high temperature failure or the earthing failure. That is, when a temperature sensor voltage estimated value calculated by the temperature estimation calculation is a threshold or higher, it is determined that the temperature sensor high temperature failure has occurred, and driving force distribution is gradually switched from distribution to the main driving wheels and the auxiliary driving wheels to distribution to the main driving wheels only. Also, when the temperature sensor voltage estimated value calculated by the temperature estimation calculation is lower than the threshold, it is determined that the temperature sensor earthing failure has occurred, and driving force distribution is immediately switched from distribution to the main driving wheels and the auxiliary driving wheels to distribution to the main driving wheels only. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
