PURPOSE:To improve performance by effectively cutting off an electrostatic coupling path between an erasing head and reproducing head by grounding an erasing head core. CONSTITUTION:Of core 1a of erasing head 1, at least one surface which does not meet magnetic recording medium 4 is applied with conductive substaince 12 and between recording head 2 and reproducing head 3, shield plate 13 made of a conductive material such as copper is arranged. As a result, the electrostatic coupling path between erasing head coil 1b and reproducing head coil 3b is grounded at its halfway point and the electrostatic coupling path between the both is equivalently cut off. Therefore, the relative distance between erasing head 1 and reproducing head 3 can be shortened to miniaturize a unit and also to increase singal recording density, thereby achieving the purpose. |
