A method of processing signals comprising: obtaining an electrical signal from one or more plant specimens; and processing said obtained electrical signal to generate plant data; wherein the plant data is indicative of a characteristic of said one or more plant specimens, including plant health, vitality, and a reaction to environmental changes. The signal information may be compared to reference data and converted to digital signals from analogue signals. The electrical information can be obtained from reference and capture electrodes applied to the plant. Apparatus for processing signals, the apparatus comprising: a capture device configured to generate a signal based upon an electrical signal received from one or more plant specimens and a processor arranged to process said obtained electrical signal to generate plant data wherein the plant is also claimed. |
