<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up division of a batch by reducing an interval of two consecutive batches while stably supporting a small batch located above when dividing the batch into the small batch. <P>SOLUTION: A division processing apparatus 200 contains a front partition piece 236A and a rear partition part 264A that touch both ends of a batch BT on a conveyor belt 213A, a main support part 265A, and an auxiliary support body 261A, and divides the batch into small batches SBT1 and SBT2 by moving the rear partition part to a given carrying direction PD so that the rear partition part may approach the front partition piece. The main support part and the auxiliary support body are composed so that the length of the support surface that supports the small batch SBT1 located above can change in the given carrying direction. When the rear partition part moves upward from the conveyor belt to touch the rear end of the batch, the length of the support surface is a short state.
