PURPOSE:To prevent the fluid attached to the ultrasonic transmitter and receiver, by isolating the ultrasonic transmitter and receiver from the fluid, in the measuring method for the level of fluid such as mortar through the use of propagation characteristics of ultrasonic waves. CONSTITUTION:At the inside of the pipe 6 having slit, the pipe 9 concave in cross section is located, for example, and the assembly is located in the vessel 1, and the ultrasonic transmitter 10 and the receiver 11 are suspended in the inner pipe 8 with the cable 13. When the upper surface of mortar 5 reaches the height of the ultrasonic transmitter and receiver 10, 11, the mortar invaded between the external pipe 6 and the internal pipe 8 reduces the reflection level, allowing to measure the level of the mortar 5 from the amount of winding of the cable 13. |
