<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press molding device and method, capable of increasing the curvature of a portion connecting a flange to a vertical wall in a hat-like cross-sectional shape. <P>SOLUTION: The press molding device 1 for molding a molded member having a hat-like cross section includes: a die 3 having a recessed portion corresponding to a molding intended shape; a punch 5 capable of being inserted to the recessed portion formed in the die 3; and a wrinkle presser 9. The die 3 includes an opening 11 formed at the shoulder of the recessed portion; a shoulder member 13 having a curvature at a tip, which is disposed so as to protrude from and retreat into the opening 11; and a pressing means which regularly holds the shoulder member 13 with the tip being retreated into the opening 11 and presses it in a direction to put out of the opening 11. The curvature radius of the shoulder member 13 is smaller than the curvature radius of a circular arc formed by mutually connecting the opening ends of the opening 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
