<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical mil which achieves space saving and cost reduction by downsizing a classifier. <P>SOLUTION: The vertical mill includes: a housing 3 for forming a classifying chamber 16; the classifier 32 stored in the upper part of the housing; a grinding table 5 stored in the lower part of the housing and rotatably driven by a table drive device 6; a pressure roller unit 9 having a pressure roller 11 pressed by the grinding table; and a coal supply pipe 21 for supplying a block object to a center of the grinding table.
