<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser scanning optical device capable of suppressing a temperature rise in the device at a low cost without enlarging the device, while securing dust resistance of a deflector, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The laser scanning device includes: a body cover 101 for covering an opening 27h of a housing 27; and a polygon mirror storage chamber 120 for storing a polygon mirror separately from a scanning optical system, in an inner space of the housing 27. The polygon mirror storage chamber 120 is partitioned from the inner space by an erecting wall 27w enclosing the polygon mirror and an inner cover 102 covering the polygon mirror 40 from the upper part, and a ventilation flue 121 is formed between the body cover 101 and the inner cover 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
