The invention relates to a method for entering and outputting oversized documents, in particular for the visually impaired or the blind, comprising the following steps: (a) subdividing the oversized document into at least two smaller, not oversized document portions; (b) entering the document portions; (c) generating representations of the entered document portions; (d) determining characteristic edge and/or orientation data regarding the entered document portions, on the basis of the representations generated; (e) processing at least one of the representations by means of a similarity transformation, in particular a congruent transformation, in such a way that edge and/or orientation data of different representations match at least partially; (f) combining the processed representations and the unprocessed representations in such a way that edge and/or orientation data regarding the representations match at least partially; and (g) outputting the combined representations as an oversized document. |
