<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spout in which molten metal clogging hardly occurs and further oxidation degradation does not occur even in casting under an ambient air atmosphere, and to provide a vertical continuous casting method of aluminum or an aluminum alloy.SOLUTION: A cylindrical spout used for a vertical continuous casting method of aluminum or an aluminum alloy includes a refractory layer disposed on the outer surface side and comprising an oxide or a nitride, and a graphite layer disposed at least on the inner surface side and comprising graphite. The tip part of the spout preferably comprises only the graphite layer. Further, the graphite preferably comprises CIP material.</p> |
