A theft prevention device includes an FI-ECU that controls starting of an engine, a BCM that performs first code authentication between the BCM and the FI-ECU, a voltage detection unit that detects a voltage supplied from a power supply to the FI-ECU or the BCM, and a control unit that performs second code authentication with the BCM and controls a device VSA that is different from the FI-ECU. The BCM performs authentication with the control unit only when the voltage detected by the voltage detection unit indicates a predetermined value or less. |
