Disclosed are image processing method and apparatus for calibrating the depth of a depth sensor. The image processing method according to an embodiment of the present invention may include the steps of: obtaining a color image photographed by a camera, and a depth image photographed by a depth sensor on a target object; calibrating the geometric relationship between a projector of the depth sensor and a depth camera based on the obtained images, and calculating the right characteristics of an image plane of the depth camera corresponding to the characteristics of an image plane of the projector to calibrate the depth of the depth sensor.
