The present invention relates to an information security server for protecting personal information of a mobile terminal, and a method for operating the same. More specifically, from contact information, a name and a phone number stored in a portable terminal, the phone number is encoded and stored in an information security server, and a matching key corresponding to a corresponding phone number is matched with a contact information name and stored in the mobile terminal. When a call is performed with the corresponding contact information name, a corresponding matching key is transmitted to an information security server to perform a call. The information security server for protecting personal information of a mobile terminal comprises: an application treating unit for receiving a matching key and a unique key transmitted from the mobile terminal, and authenticating the mobile terminal by using the unique key; a database unit for storing a protection phone number corresponding to the matching key; a key matching unit for determining effectiveness by determining whether the matching key transmitted from the mobile terminal is a matching key corresponding to an information security service; a key exchanging unit for extracting a protection phone number corresponding to the matching key when matching key corresponds to the information security service depending on the effectiveness determination of the key matching unit; and a key generating unit for generating the matching key corresponding to the protection phone number transmitted to register the information security service from the mobile terminal. According to a request of the transmission, the protection phone number exchanged in the key exchanging unit is transmitted to the mobile terminal by using the application treating unit. |
