<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress consumption of components constituting an image forming part while suppressing deterioration in efficiency of image formation. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a conveyance part which conveys a sheet-like medium along a conveyance path and conveys a separation medium along the conveyance path for each time when discharge conditions are determined to be met by a discharge condition determination part; an image forming part which has one or more components and forms an image on the sheet-like medium conveyed along the conveyance path by operating the components; and a control part for controlling the image forming part. When the separation medium is passed through the image forming part, the control part suppresses the operation of the components of the image forming part compared to when the image forming part is controlled to form a blank image on the sheet-like medium (S109 to S111). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
