<p>The method involves storing a list including a reference for identified limited-lifetime part of an engine during an identification step (STP1). A storage unit is in communication with a centralized data system (DB) remote from a vehicle for storing maintenance data including a value of ageing parameter prior to starting of the engine during an information-search step (STP2). A corresponding maintenance data for each identified limited-lifetime part is stored. Engine wear is monitored by using information stored in the storage unit during a monitoring step (STP3). An independent claim is also included for a monitoring device for monitoring an engine of an aircraft.</p> |
