PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption related to reception of emergency information.SOLUTION: Related to earthquake alarm information (emergency information), preference information representing whether or not reception of post detailed information which is detailed information about the earthquake that has happened is wanted is set and recorded in a memory part 23. When a receiver 1 shifts into a power saving mode, an AC signal is received by intermittent reception. At the time point when the fact that the AC signal does not contain the earthquake alarm information becomes clear, the electric power to an RF circuit part 10 is limited for stopping reception. In the case where it contains the earthquake alarm information and its type is a pre-alarm which is an alarm before occurrence of earthquake, a reception operation is continued. Meanwhile, in the case where it is the post detailed information which transmits details of the earthquake that has occurred, if preference information indicates that reception is not requested, reception of the post detailed information is not performed but stopped. |
