It is equipped with a laser oscillator (1) for oscillating a laser beam to have a variable output according to a machining condition, an optical fiber (2) for propagating the laser beam, a sensor (7) for detecting an intensity of a light leaking from a cladding (2b) side face of the optical fiber (2) and outputting a detection signal (SN1) indicating that intensity, and an oscillation control unit (HS) for controlling an operation of that laser machining device (51) based on the detection signal (SN1). The oscillation control unit (HS) compares a first threshold (HK2) that is set in correspondence to that output with an intensity or an amount of light obtained from the detection signal (SN1), in a case where an output of the laser oscillator (1) is less than or equal to a prescribed output, compares a second threshold (LK2) that is set in correspondence to that output with an intensity or an amount of light obtained from the detection signal (SN1), in a case where an output of the laser oscillator (1) is greater than said prescribed output, and controls the operation of that laser machining device (51) based on a result of comparing. |
