PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white light-emitting organic electroluminescent element having high chromaticity stability at an environmental temperature and having a long lifetime.
SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element has at least a light emitting layer containing a host compound and a phosphorescence-emitting dopant compound, between an anode and a cathode. The relation of the "lowest unoccupied molecular orbit" LUMO(H) of the host compound and the "lowest unoccupied molecular orbit" LUMO(D) of the phosphorescence-emitting dopant compound with an imidazole derivative as a ligand satisfies: ¾LUMO(H)-LUMO(D)¾<0.2.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
|
