<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint device which can sufficiently draw closer the winding start edge and winding termination of a tire component member wound around a molding drum, and securely butt and join both the edge faces of the tire component member. <P>SOLUTION: In the joint device for a tire component member, the respective edge faces of the winding start edge and winding termination of a tire component member 2 wound around the circumferential face of a molding drum 1 are mutually butted according to the axis 1a of the molding drum 1 to be joined. The device includes: a body part 3 progressively displaced in the direction of the axis 1a of the molding drum 1; a zipper 4 rotatably fitted to the body part 3, located over the winding start edge and winding termination, and, upon the progressive displacement of the body part 3, butting and joining both the edge faces; and one or more pairs of drawing rollers 5 with truncated cone shape, arranged at the front side from the zipper 4 in the body part 3, disposed in a posture in which the small-diameter edges are mutually confronted, contacted with each winding start edge and winding termination, and rolling on the common axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
